Removing and installing/replacing spring
element on left or right hinge for rear lid
(compact)
Open rear lid.
Unclip cover (1) and turn to one side.
Protect painted surface (2) under spring element against
paintwork damage with a cloth or cardboard.
Release screw (3) and remove spring element towards
bottom/rear.
Installation:
For installation, the spring element (1) has an installation aid (2)
at the bottom.
Using curved snipe nose pliers (3), grip guide (2) at bottom of
spring element (1).
Insert spring element (1) in rear lid hinge (4) and install screw (5).
