Replacing left or right rear side trim panel
(compact)
Remove rear side trim panel.
Version with hi-fi system only:
The new side trim panel is provided with a marking for the
speaker.
If necessary, cut out perforated section (1) of insulating mat (2).
Note:
Illustration shows side trim panel without side airbag.
Caution!
Do not under any circumstances cut into fabric cover or
leather with drill bit (risk of damage due to fraying of cover).
Position drill bit in center (1).
Carefully cut through cutout (3) at marking (2) with 50 mm dia.
drill bit.
Drilling depth approx. 2.5 mm.
Lever out cutout (3) from side trim panel (4).
Caution!
Cutout of cover (2) must be smaller than cutout of side trim
panel (1).
Carefully cut out cover (2) with scalpel.
