Replacing control unit for left xenon headlight
(Coupé, Convertible)
Warning!
Version with xenon headlights: Danger to life due to high
voltage! Therefore disconnect all components from voltage
supply before removal.
Work on the entire xenon lighting system (ignition unit, control
unit and lamp) may only be carried out by specialist
personnel.
Build status up to 03/2003:
Necessary preliminary tasks:
•
Remove left headlight (xenon headlight).
Release screws (1).
Pull xenon headlight control unit holder together with control unit
for xenon headlight (2) in direction of arrow out of guides and
place to one side.
Installation:
Ensure correct cable routing.
Release screws (1).
Disconnect control unit for xenon headlight (3) from xenon
headlight control unit holder (2) and remove.
