3 Series E46 320d (M47) TOUR
Release nuts (1) and (2, covered) on bearing pedestal of injection
pump.
Detach and remove injection pump from mounting flange.
Installation:
Installation of injection pump is described separately from
removal. The assembly sequence differs between removal and
installation.
Make sure engine is at firing TDC, cylinder 1, and has special
tool 11 2 300 (plug mandrel) attached at crankcase.
Visually check installation position:
Groove (1) in injection pump shaft must be flush with injection line
connection (2) for cylinder 1.
Read off and note down setting value on injection pump.
Note:
The setting value is stamped on the nameplate (e.g. 0.86).
