3 Series E46 330d (M57) TOUR
Release screw (1).
Lever expansion rivets (1) out of fan cowl.
Unhook vent hose of expansion tank from bracket on fan cowl.
Caution!
Do not damage radiator fins.
To release fan impeller (2):

Grip water pump at square drive.
-
Release union nut (1) with special tool 11 5 040.
Tightening Torque,
refer to Technical Data 11 52 040.
Installation:
When using special tool 11 5 040, 30 Nm on the torque
wrench scale are equivalent to a tightening torque of 40 Nm.
Lift out fan cowl and impeller together.
