Note:
Profile shaft and sealing surface of gaiters on constant velocity
joints must be absolutely free of grease. The gaiter could
otherwise slip off when the hose clamps are tightened down on
the constant velocity joint.
Regrease constant velocity joints up to top edge.
Note:
New grease in repair kit.
Push both gaiters onto profile tube.
Regrease linear displacement unit and slide constant velocity joint
(1) into section tube (2).
Caution!
Pay attention to installation position, felt-tip pen marking.
Slide both gaiters into assembly position at recess of profile tube
(2).
Caution!
To ensure uniform lubrication, push in constant velocity joint as far
as it will go and then pull out again up to
measurement A = approx. 16 mm.
RA Replacing both gaiters on left and right of output shaft
