3 Series E46 330xd (M57) TOUR
Release bolt (1) on alternator.
Only slacken bolt (2) on alternator.
Tilt alternator to one side.
Release self-locking nut (1).
Installation:
Replace self-locking nut.
Pull out tensioning roller with lever (1) in direction of arrow.
Release screws (1).
Remove belt tensioner (2).
Installation:
The opening in the belt tensioner housing (2) must point to the
alternator.
Align belt tensioner.
Insert screws (1) but do not tighten down yet.
Install tensioning roller with lever and then tighten down
screws (1).
