3 Series E46 330xd (M57) TOUR
Brace propeller shaft at center mount (1) and release nuts.
Tightening torque, 26 11 6AZ .
Bend propeller shaft downwards at center mount (1).
Detach propeller shaft from transmission output flange and tie
back to side on vehicle underbody.
Installation:
Center bearing must be aligned at right angles to propeller
shaft.
Release transfer case screw connection on transmission.
Tightening torque, 27 00 9AZ .
Remove transfer case.
Installation:
Note dowel sleeves.
Replace damaged dowel sleeves.
Apply a thin coat of grease to splines. Grease: WEICON
ANTISEIZE.
Manual transmission:
Replace sealing ring (1) on drive shaft (2).
