Checking a valve guide for wear - valve
removed (S50 / S54)
Measure tilt clearance.
For measurement, install a new valve in such a way that the end
of the valve shaft seals the valve guide.
Mount dial gauge and measure tilt clearance.
Max. permissible tilt clearance.
Caution!
Repair valves of larger stem diameters are "not" supplied.
In event of excessive tilt clearance: replace cylinder head.
