3 Series E46 M3 (S54) COUPE
Releasing both starter motor mounting bolts (1) on transmission:
Release starter motor screws from transmission output end with a
long extension and universal joints.
Installation:
Tightening torque, 12 41 1AZ .
Pull starter motor (1) out of transmission flange and remove
towards bottom.
Installation:
Check starter motor pinion and ring gear for damage.
