3 Series E90 318i (N46T) SAL
Note:
Chain tensioner (7) of oil pump chain is secured with a locating
pin (6).
When removing balancing shaft oil pump unit (3), make sure
locating pin (6) is not tilted.
Lift balancing shaft oil pump unit (3) off crankcase until adapter
sleeves is no longer secured.
Remove balancing shaft oil pump unit (3) towards rear.
Check adapter sleeves (1) for damage and correct installation
position; replace if necessary.
Note:
Installation with a second person.
Feed in sprocket wheel for oil pump drive.
Insert guide pin (6) into bore on chain tensioner (7) until
balancing shaft oil pump unit (3) rests on chain tensioner (7),
grip chain tensioner (7).
