Removing and installing/sealing cylinder head
cover (N42/N46)
Important!
Carbon cylinder head cover.
Install cylinder head cover without tension.
Necessary preliminary tasks:
•
Remove ignition coils.
•
Detach ignition coil wiring harness from cylinder head cover
and lay to one side.
•
Remove lower section of microfilter housing.
Detach ignition coil cover (1) in direction of arrow.
Unfasten screws (2).
Disconnect plug connection (1).
Disconnect plug connections (2 and 3).
Disconnect plug connection (4).
Release screw (5).
Remove spacer as well when releasing bolt (5).
Unscrew nut (6).
Disconnect plug connection (7).
Place wiring harness to one side.
