Removing and installing/sealing cylinder head
(N45)
Important!
Fit new cylinder head screws.
Observe different screw lengths.
There must be no oil in the blind holes (risk of cracking).
Apply a light coat of oil to washer contact area and thread of
new cylinder head bolts.
Necessary preliminary tasks:
•
Remove suction-filter housing.
•
Removing ignition coils.
•
Remove all spark plugs.
•
Remove cylinder head.
•
Remove intake air manifold.
•
Remove exhaust manifold.
•
Remove exhaust gas check valve.
•
Disconnect plug connection on camshaft sensor on exhaust
side.
•
Remove inlet and exhaust adjustment unit.
•
Remove both solenoid valves.
•
Remove upper chain guide.
•
Remove exhaust camshaft.
•
Remove intake camshaft.
Recycling:
Catch and dispose of drained engine oil.
Catch and dispose of drained coolant.
Observe country-specific waste-disposal regulations.
