3 Series E90 320Si (N45) SAL
Unfasten and remove special tool 11 9 340 .
Note:
For the timing check described below, the original chain tensioner
must be installed.
Install chain tensioner.
Tightening torque: 11 31 5AZ
.
Remove all special tools.
Crank engine twice in direction of normal engine rotation.
Note:
The timing is correctly adjusted when special tool 11 0 490
rests flat on the cylinder head or protrudes by up to 0.5 mm to
the exhaust side.
Assemble engine.
