Removing and installing/replacing left or right
rear light (in side panel)
Important!
Read and comply with notes on protection against
electrostatic damage (ESD protection).
Necessary preliminary tasks:
•
Remove socket housing for rear light
Release nuts (1, 3), gripping the threaded pin with a suitable
tool in so doing. Tightening torque 63 21 1AZ
.
Remove rear light (4) in outwards direction from side panel (5).
Installation:
•
Observe tightening sequence:
1.
Tighten nuts (3)
2.
Tighten nut (1)
•
Make sure spacer (2) is correctly seated on side panel (5)
•
Make sure sealing washers are fitted on threaded pins
between rear light (4) and side panel (5)
•
Make sure sealing frame for rear light is correctly seated on
rear light (4)
•
Make sure gap is uniform all round between rear light (4)
and side panel (5).
