3 Series E92 M3 (S65) COUPE
Check plain compression rings for damage and replace if
necessary.
The plain compression rings have catches at the joint.
Press plain compression rings apart upwards and downwards
and remove towards front.
Important!
Plain compression rings can break easily.
Insert exhaust camshaft for cylinders 1 to 4.
Designation (A1) on dihedron points upwards.
Cams on cylinder no. 4 point upwards.
Installation:
Lubricate all bearing points with engine oil.
Installation:
All bearing shells are assigned to one cylinder.
E and A from (1 to 8), e.g. A 1= exhaust side on 1st cylinder.
Arrow (1) must point in direction of travel to chain drive.
Release screws (1) from inside outwards in 1/2 turns.
Tightening torque: 11 12 2AZ
