Removing and installing / replacing all finger-
type rockers (M43 / M43TU)
Remove cylinder head cover,
refer to 11 12 000.
Remove all spark plugs,
refer to 12 12 011.
If necessary, remove fan clutch with impeller,
refer to 11 52 020.
Rotate engine on central screw engine-wise until cams on
camshaft point vertically upwards.
Note:
The individual rocker may only be removed or installed if the
camshaft is in this position.
Press down valve with special tool 11 4 130 and lift out finger.
Note:
Place fingers to one side in orderly fashion.
Worn rockers may only be reused on the same grooves of the
camshaft.
