Replacing front radial sealing ring (M50
VANOS)
Fit special tool 11 2 383 to crankshaft.
Removing radial sealing ring:
Screw on special tool 11 2 380 until it is securely connected to
the radial seal.
Then pull out radial sealing ring by screwing in bolt.
Installation:
Lubricate sealing lips of new radial sealing ring with oil.
Install flush with timing case cover using special tool 11 3 280
and central screw.
