Install crankshaft.

Place Type PG-1 Plastigage, source of supply: Cartool, on the
crankshaft wiped clean of oil and tighten bearing caps as
specified. For tightening torque,

refer to Technical Data.

Do not turn crankshaft.

Remove bearing caps and read bearing play, 

refer to Technical Data,

by measuring the width of the flattened Plastigage with help of the
supplied scale.

Install new bearing shells or bearing shells with a different colour
code to correct the bearing play.

refer to Technical Data.

Triple-classification colour codes:

Ge = yellow

GN = Green

Ws = White
