To further mark control units that have been modified in this manner (in addition to the
Bosch sticker and the seal), attach the enclosed extra sticker to the lid of the control unit
(see figure 2).

If there is no entry in the DDE fault memory or the fault "slide travel sensor
(potentiometer setting)" is present,
- check the version of the distributor-type fuel-injection pump
If the production code of the distributor-type fuel-injection pump is lower than 467 (see
Item C in figure 3), replace the distributor-type fuel-injection pump in addition to the
scope of components to be replaced in accordance with 2a.
