Modified suction bottle

All models

Situation: 

To enable suction bottle 51 3 010 to be used better on windows with a more pronounced
curvature (rear side windows on E39 Touring or B-pillar windows on E38 L7), technical
modifications have had to be made.

Both suction cups are affected by the modifications. An elongated slot must be created.
This will increase the suction cup's freedom of lateral movement. Moreover, it is advisable
to fit a ring to the tool trolley to hold the suction bottle. These modifications can be made
independently in the workshop.

The other suction cup remains in the old version to ensure that the stability of the suction
bottle is retained.

Please refer to Enclosure 1.

The modifications have already been implemented in production. Stocks have been revised
accordingly. This means that only the new version will be supplied from now on.

This modification also means that the price has had to be adjusted.

Procedure: 

The new suction bottle and individual parts will only be supplied to order under the
corresponding order number.

You need

Order number

- a new suction bottle set

51 3 010 (incl. 2 suction bottles)

- a new suction cup

51 3 011

- an old suction cup

51 3 012

- a handle

51 3 013

If you wish to modify your existing suction bottle, you only need the new suction cup with
elongated slot and ring (order number 51 3 011).
