Change of charging voltage to 14.8 volts

Situation:
To improve the quality of a battery charge, the charging voltage on all battery chargers
approved by BMW is being increased from 14.2 V or 14.4 V to 14.8 V.
All battery chargers delivered from 07/2006 are set to 14.8 V ex works (only if a separate
insert is provided with the information that the charging voltage has been set to 14.8 V).
The following BMW-approved battery chargers must be reset to 14.8 V:
"MultiCharger 750" manufactured by the company Voigt & Haeffner ( SI 02 06 06 315)
"DBL 430" ( SI 02 03 98 350) and
"DBL 1000" ( SI 02 06 02 854) manufactured by the company Deutronic
Procedure:
The "MultiCharger 750" can be reset to 14.8 V either manually or by means of a software
update. The necessary software from Voigt & Haeffner will be provided on the TIS-CD
version 10/2006. Please refer to Enclosure 1 .
The "DBL 430" and "DBL 1000" are reset manually to 14.8 V,
