New main number for antistatic mat

Situation:
With the increasing number of electronic components in BMW vehicles, the number of
approved repairs for individual components is also increasing (e.g. CCC in the E60). This
special tool is necessary to guarantee professional handling, taking electrostatic discharge
into account.
Ever since the EPROM tool was developed in 1997, the antistatic mat with the part number
12 7 192 has been delivered.
To make sure that future distribution and linkage of the special tool to the Repair
Instructions is adequately implemented, a new version is needed (with main number).
Please refer to Enclosure 1.
Procedure:
Store tools will be supplied to order only.
