Removing and installing or replacing vacuum
pump (M51)

Removing cylinder head cover,

refer to 11 12 000

Unfasten vacuum hose from vacuum pump.

Remove screw (1).

Remove screw (2), lift out pump.

Note:

Screw (2) also serves as bracket for chain guide.

Installation:

Thread of screw (2) is coated with sealing compound so use
new screw or apply 3 Bond 1209,

Installation:

Install driver in recess on camshaft gear.
