Removing and installing or replacing sensor
for remote thermometer (M60)

Note:

After completing work, fill and vent cooling system and
check for leaks,

refer to 17 00 039.

Coolant, 

refer to BMW Service Operating Fluids MG17.

Switch off ignition.

Sensor is fitted to rear of water box.

Illustrated here on removed engine.

Disconnect connector (2).

Remove sensor.

Tightening Torque,

refer to Technical Data 12 62 4AZ.

Installation:

Replace sealing ring.
