Removing and installing/replacing fuel cooler
(M57)

Caution!

Turn off ignition.

Catch and dispose of escaping fuel.

Caution!

When working on the oil, coolant or fuel circuit, you must
protect the alternator against contamination.

Cover alternator with suitable materials.

Failure to comply with this procedure may result in an
alternator malfunction.

Loosen screws (1).

Tightening Torque,

refer to Technical Data 13 32 3AZ.

Remove air duct (2).

Press down locking springs (1).

Disconnect fuel lines.

Unscrew nuts (2).

Remove fuel filter unit (3). 

Lay fuel filter with bracket (4) to one side.
