5 Series E39 525i (M54) TOUR
Push back protective cap (1).
Press together retaining ring (2) and pull off quick coupling.
Remove air reservoir.
Caution!
As of 9/99, the air reservoir can only be replaced with the lines.
Line can no longer be detached from air reservoir!
Pull protective cap (3) off new reservoir.
Check correct seating of sealing rings (1...2).
Caution!
Never grease dirt ring or sealing ring.
Push on quick coupling and listen for audible locking of retaining
ring (2).
Push protective cap (1) over retaining ring. In doing so, ensure the
protective cap is correctly positioned in relation to the cams of the
retaining ring.
Mount air reservoir without subjecting pipe to torsion stress.
