Unlock upper section of trunk lid lock by pressing button in handle
trim of trunk lid.
1 = upper section of trunk lid lock locked
2 = upper section of trunk lid lock unlocked

Adjustment of trunk lid:
Caution!
Before closing the trunk lid and when closing the trunk lid,
ensure that the body and/or trunk lid are not damaged.
The lower section of the trunk lid lock must not scrape against
the upper section.
Height adjustment:
Luggage compartment lid with rear window frame opened.
Release hinge screws for rear window frame and luggage
compartment lid on left and right to the point that the luggage
compartment lid can be moved with the rear window frame.
Caution!
When the hinge screws for rear window frame and luggage
compartment lid are released, the position of the overall
assembly (rear window frame and luggage compartment lid)
changes with respect to the body.
The position of the rear window frame to the luggage
compartment lid remains unchanged.
Close trunk lid carefully.
Adjust gap dimensions and position of rear lid relative to the other
attachments on the body,
refer to 41 00.
Caution!
On transition area between roof/rear window frame, rear
window frame must not extend above height of roof otherwise
wind noise will be created.
Retighten hinge screws for rear window frame and luggage
compartment lid.
