Unlock luggage compartment loading floor (1) and pull back (2);
an expended force of 80 N to 100 N is permitted to do this.

Note:

If the force expended is greater:

- 

Adjust lateral clearances (A), (C) and (D) and vertical
clearance (E).

- 

Coat rails with Universal protecting spray (sourcing
reference: BMW Parts Service) (do not use grease).

Check unlocking clearance (G):

Slide in luggage compartment loading floor (1) completely
(locked).

There must be no clearance at release lever (1).

Release clearance (G) = 0 mm.

Note:

If the clearance exceeds 0 mm, the luggage compartment
loading floor will not lock.

Note:

If the luggage compartment loading floor does not lock:

- 

Move left/right roller blocks (2) (screws (1) must be
loose) in longitudinal direction.
