Complaint:
Floor carpet is saturated with water. Airbag warning lamp lights up
The entire electrical system in the area of the floor plate / centre console may be affected.
Cause:
The cementing of the soundproofing behind the front and/or rear door trims are loose and
do not provide an adequate seal. Water then penetrates through to the interior.

Procedure:
Both the cementing process and the glue used have been modified in series production.
In the event of the above complaint, check whether the cementing of the soundproofing is
correct on all four doors. Soundproofing which is not sealed properly must be cemented
with 6 mm diameter butylene tape.
