Removing and installing fuel tank
Caution!
After the installation of the fuel tank / Prior to the first
engine start-up:
Check the electrical resistance between the ground lug
(tank filling pipe) and the wheel hub.
Measured value: approx. 0.6
Ω
Fill fuel tank with at least 5 litres of fuel.
Draw fuel out of fuel tank,
refer to 16 00 005
With special tool 34 1 030, unfasten lock nuts. Twist lock nuts
and adjustment nuts completely out of handbrake cables and pull
Bowden cables downwards out of their guide tubes.
Installation:
Adjust handbrake
refer to 34 10 014
Remove rear right wheel.
refer to 36 10 300
Remove rear right wheel arch trim.
Unfasten hose clip (1) and remove hose from tank.
Remove the propeller shaft completely,
refer to 26 11 000
Remove heat shield (1) from tank
Remove handbrake Bowden cables from guide tubes.
