Pull out shaft seal with special tool 00 5 010 .

Drive in new radial seal as far as it will go:

- 

Special tools 00 5 500  and 33 3 440  for final drive

220/215 compact

- 

Special tools 00 5 500  and 33 3 470  for final drive 188

compact

Coat sealing lips of shaft seal and sealing face of drive flange with
differential oil.

Attach drive flange.

Press on drive flange with special tools 23 1 300 , 23 1 302
and  33 1 341  but only to such an extent as to allow collar nut to
be screwed on.

Tighten down collar nut (1) only until marker points are aligned.

Caution!

Do not under any circumstances tighten down collar nut
beyond the marker points, otherwise clamping sleeve will
have to be replaced.
