5 Series E39 528i (M52) SAL
Use spacers (1) between doors and hinges when installing new
doors.
Distance for rough adjustment:
Front door
Fit 2 spacers, each 1 mm thick
Rear door
Fit 2 spacers, each 1 mm thick
Adjust to specified distance by installing spacers in appropriate
quantity and/or thickness.
Rear Door:
Lower door window.
Adjust height of door roughly when installing new doors.
Uniform gap (A) of approx. 5 mm.
Tighten nuts on upper and lower door hinges.
Check gap (B) and correct if necessary.
Uniform gap (B) of approx. 5 mm.
Check gap (C) and correct if necessary.
Uniform gap (C) of approx. 10 mm.
