Removing and installing/replacing left
headlight vertical aim adjuster (xenon
headlamp, from 09/2000)
M54 only:
Remove intake filter housing.
S62 only:
Remove left intake filter housing.
M62 only:
Release screws (1).
Remove ground connection (2).
Pull main flow oil filter housing (3) in direction of arrow out of
rubber grommet (4) and place to one side.
Installation:
If necessary, replace faulty rubber grommet (4).
Make sure main flow oil filter housing (3) is correctly seated in
rubber grommet (4).

Warning!
Xenon headlamps: Danger to life due to high voltage!
Therefore disconnect xenon headlamps from voltage supply.
Work on the entire xenon lighting system (ignition unit, control
unit and lamp) may only be carried out by specialist
personnel.
Note:
Headlamp removed for purposes of clarity.
Turn plug connection (1) in direction of arrow and remove.
Remove low beam cover (2) in direction of arrow.
Release screws (3).
