Note:

The outer tire beads can also be forced off the rim shoulders with
a pneumatic/hydraulic removal roller (plastic).

Place tire with outer side facing downwards on a stable surface
(workshop floor).

Caution!

Insert knife max. 40 mm.

Do not damage innerlying support ring!

Cut open inner tire bead along all-round side decorative groove
with a suitable knife.

Clamp wheel with cut open inner bead facing downwards on a tire
fitting machine.

Detach outer bead with tire contact face from rim.

Remove rim with inner bead (remaining tire) and support ring from
tire fitting machine.

Prepare special tool 36 1 410 (device for support ring removal)
for rim mounting.

Caution!

Different centering elements are required for the rims of E38/3
safety vehicles and E39 Protection.
