5 Series E39 540i (M62) TOUR
Secure torque converter (1) against slipping out. To do this, attach
special tool 24 4 131 / 24 4 132 to one of the 4 recesses on
the torque converter and secure firmly to transmission case.
Release screws.
Pull out transmission towards rear and lower.
Installation:
Install screws only in conjunction with washers.
Tightening torque, 24 00 1AZ.
Installation:
Turn torque converter until special tool 24 2 300 is flush with
bore in driving disk.
Flange automatic transmission to engine.
Installation:
Bore (1) in driving disk must be accessible from aperture in oil
sump.
