Replacing throttle potentiometer (S62)
Interrogate fault memory of DME control unit.
Switch off ignition.
Remove and install intake air manifold,
refer to 11 61 050.
Instructions apply to removing and installing both throttle
potentiometers on left and right.
The illustrations show the left throttle potentiometer being
removed.
The installation location is on the throttle body, rear.
For a better overview, the following work steps are shown on an
engine that has been removed.
Disconnect plug connections (1).
Unclip cables (2) from cable guides.
Disconnect plug connections (1) on left knock sensor pair.
