About the E60 5 Series
The E60 is the saloon of the fifth-generation 5 Series, made from 2003 to 2010. It brought iDrive, a head-up display, active steering and night vision to the 5 Series, and was the first 5 Series with a turbocharged petrol engine. Its M5 was the only M5 with a V10 (the S85).
What these manuals cover
- Four-cylinder: the 520i (N43, N46T) and the 520d (M47T2, N47).
- Six-cylinder petrol: the 523i, 525i, 528i and 530i (M54, N52, N53), with all-wheel-drive xi versions, and the twin-turbo 535i (N54).
- Six-cylinder diesel: the 525d, 530d and 535d (M57), including the xd.

- The M5 (S85 V10).
- Long-wheelbase Li versions.
Tip: these are BMW factory manuals, listed by model, engine and body rather than by year. The code in brackets is the engine (M54, N52 and so on), and the last word is the body: SAL saloon, TOUR Touring (estate), COUPE, CONVER convertible, COMP Compact (hatchback), ROADST roadster, OFFRD for the X models. The E61 manuals cover the same engines.
