5 Series E60 520d (N47) SAL
Gearbox (HP 19):
Reposition special tool 11 8 181 on gearbox (HP 19).
Fit special tool 11 8 183 at gearbox bolts (1).
Adjust special tool 11 8 182 at flywheel toothing (2).
E83:
Reposition special tool 11 8 181 on H-gearbox.
Detach exhaust system bracket (1) from transmission.
Fit special tool 11 8 183 at gearbox bolts (2).
Adjust special tool 11 8 182 at flywheel spline.
Release screws (1).
Remove vibration damper.
Tightening torque 11 23 2AZ
.
Installation:
Replace screws.
Replace radial shaft seal at front.
Tighten screws crosswise.
Assemble engine.
Important!
Do not run engine without ribbed drive belt.
Risk of damage! to vibration damper.
