Checking camshaft timing (N47, N47S)
Special tools required:
•
11 4 480
•
11 5 320
•
11 6 480
•
11 8 760
Necessary preliminary tasks:
•
Remove cylinder head cover.
Crank engine at centre bolt with special tool 11 6 480 .
Important!
Do not turn the engine back.
Special tool 11 6 480 must be removed before engine is
started.
Remove protective cap of timing case cover.
Block crankshaft in ignition TDC position of cylinder No. 1 with
special tool 11 5 320 .
