Replacing both monitor sensors (M54)
Special tools required:
•
11 7 020
•
11 7 030
Necessary preliminary tasks:
•
Read out fault memory of DME control unit
•
Switch off ignition
•
Remove cover of fuel injectors
•
Remove fresh air duct
•
Automatic transmission: Remove exhaust system.
•
Manual transmission: Remove reinforcement plate
Warning!
Scalding hazard!
Only perform this task on an engine that has cooled down.
Unclip cable and plug.
Disconnect plug connection.
