Replacing complete injection pipe (S85)
Special tools required:
•
13 5 281
Necessary preliminary tasks:
•
Read out fault memory of DME control unit; if necessary,
work through test schedules
•
Switch off ignition
•
Remove fresh air duct
•
Remove intake air manifold
•
Remove ignition coil covers
•
Release cable duct in V-chamber, unlock plug connections
and disconnect, lay cable duct to one side
Recycling
Fuel escapes when fuel line is detached. Catch and dispose
of escaping fuel.
Observe country-specific waste-disposal regulations.
Slacken bolts (1)
Unlock and detach fuel line (2).
Unfasten screws.
Unlock plugs on fuel injectors and disconnect.
Remove both injection pipes (3).
