5 Series E60 M5 (S85) SAL
Remove propeller shaft.
Important!
Support transmission with hydraulic jack.
Release screws (1) and nuts (2) and remove cross-member.
Tightening torque 22 32 3AZ/4AZ
.
Lower transmission.
Release screws (1).
Tightening torque 21 52 9AZ
.
Release cable tie (2). Remove plug and unclip wiring harness
from holder.
Remove clutch position sensor.
Important!
Only cable ties which are resistant to high
temperatures (approx. 140
°
C) may be used to secure the
cable.
Installation:
O-ring (1) must be mounted on the sensor and pushed on up to
the flange.
When the sensors are replaced, the cable must be secured
without tensile stress.
Even when the cable tie next to the marking is being positioned.
