Removing and installing/replacing adjusting
unit (active) for seat back width adjuster on
left or right front seat (M5)
Special tools required:
•
61 2 070
Necessary preliminary tasks:
•
Remove front seat
•
Partially remove backrest cover for front seat
Note:
The right side is removed in the same way as the left side.
Important!
Draw off chips during drilling operation.
Also cover rotary adjuster. Risk of lock blockage due to chips
entering system.
Drill out rivets (1).
Carefully feed adjusting unit (2) out of backrest frame.
Note:
Remove all remnants of rivets.
