Removing and installing/replacing alternator
(M47T2, M57T2)
Necessary preliminary tasks:
•
Read fault memory of DDE control unit.
•
Switch off ignition
•
Disconnect battery
•
Remove alternator drive belt
E87:
Remove pressure transducer (1).
Unlock connector (2) and remove.
Release nut (3) and remove battery positive lead.
Tightening torque 12 31 1AZ
.
Release screws and remove alternator (4).
Tightening torque 12 31 2AZ
.
E90, E91:
Unlock plug (1) and remove.
Release nut and disconnect battery positive lead (2).
Tightening torque 12 31 1AZ
.
E90, E91:
Release screw and remove idler pulley (1).
Tightening torque 12 31 4AZ
.
Release screws and remove alternator (2).
Tightening torque 12 31 2AZ
.
