Replacing a rear pulse generator
Necessary preliminary tasks:
•
Remove rear wheel.
•
Read and comply with General Information.
Open connector housing (1), pull plug connector (2) out of bracket
and disconnect.
Pull cable out of brackets on swinging arm.
Installation:
Ensure proper locking of the plug connector and proper
seating of the cable in the brackets.
Release hexagon socket head cap screw (1) and pull wheel
speed sensor out of bore.
Installation:
Tightening torque, 34 51 6AZ
.
Clean bore hole for pulse generator and grease with
Staburags NBU 12/K lubricating grease (refer to BMW
Service Operating Fluids).
