Removing and installing / sealing left cylinder
head cover (S85)
Necessary preliminary tasks:
•
Remove intake air manifold.
•
Remove rod-type ignition coils.
•
Disconnect plug connection for ion control unit.
•
Disconnect plug connection at camshaft sensors.
Release screw (1).
Lay ground strap (2) to one side.
Release screws along line (1).
Remove spark plug tube (1) in direction of arrow.
Installation:
Check rubber on spark plug tube (1) for damage; replace spark
plug tube (1) if necessary.
Apply a light coating of engine oil to spark plug tube (1) prior to
installation.
