Replacing ignition unit for left xenon
headlight
Warning!
Version with xenon headlights: Danger to life due to high
voltage! Therefore, before removing, disconnect all
components from the power supply (lighting system and
ignition off).
Work on the entire xenon lighting system (control unit, ignition
unit and lamp) may only be carried out by specialist
personnel.
Follow instructions for handling light bulbs (exterior lights).
Important!
Ignition unit and xenon bulb are viewed as a single
component from build date 09/2007 and must not be
separated.
Note:
Front wheel removed for purposes of clarity.
Release screws (1).
Feed out repair cover (2) in direction of arrow from front wheel
arch trim (3) and fold down.
Unlock catch (1) in direction of arrow.
Remove cover (2) in direction of arrow from headlight (3) and
feed out through opening in front wheel arch trim (4).
