Hose guide for opening new fuel filler flap systems
BMW and MINI
Situation:
From 09/2006, new fuel filler flaps for diesel and petrol fuel systems will gradually be
introduced on all model series. Diesel fuel systems will also be equipped with a device to
prevent incorrect refuelling. This system has a protective flap in the fuel filler neck, which
can only be opened by a pipe with a certain diameter.
This makes a new special tool necessary for filling and emptying the fuel tank during repair
operations in the workshop. The fuel filler flap can be opened with the hose guide and the
drain/filler hose can be fed through the special tool without damaging the fuel filler flap or
the hose.
Please refer to Enclosure 1.
Procedure:
Offer tools will be sent to every contractual partner with a tools agreement.
