About the E32 7 Series
The E32 was the second-generation 7 Series, made from 1986 to 1994 in standard (i) and long (iL) wheelbases. It was among the most technically advanced cars of its day, with adaptive damping, traction control and Xenon headlamps. It brought BMW's first V12, the first in a German car since 1939, and the 750i was the first car limited to 250 km/h under the German makers' agreement.
What these manuals cover
- Straight-six: the 730i and 735i (M30), and the iL versions.
- V8: the 730i and 740i (M60) from 1992.
- V12: the 750i and 750iL (M70).
Tip: these are BMW factory manuals, listed by model, engine and body rather than by year. The code in brackets is the engine (M54, N52 and so on), and the last word is the body: SAL saloon, TOUR Touring (estate), COUPE, CONVER convertible, COMP Compact (hatchback), ROADST roadster, OFFRD for the X models.
